Since the weather forecasters are hinting at a wintry mix for Greensboro on Wednesday, today might be a good day to provide a "blossom status" for the community. Greensboro is ready for spring and, after such a sunny afternoon, yesterday, blossoms are sprouting out everywhere. The above blossoms are budding on the shrubs at Deep Roots Co-Op on Eugene Street in Downtown Greensboro. It is hard to believe that this photo was taken in a parking lot on a busy street.
On Saturday, Joymongers Brewery Company, Deep Roots' next door neighbor, was bursting at the seams with people out celebrating St. Patrick's Day. In the meantime, Deep Roots was offering parking for $5 a car for those headed to the brewery. However, for those who were at the lot to shop for healthy food, or to take photos of blossoms in the lot, parking was free.
Take time to zoom in and appreciate these special signs of spring in Greensboro. Happy Monday!
Signs of spring are everywhere. We're going to get some more cold and wet weather but it won't be freezing so it appears we're gonna be OK. Hope the same holds for you.
