While in many people's hearts, every day is Women's Day, March 8th is officially International Women's Day. On Greensboro Daily Photo, we're sharing one more day at the Yanceyville Farmer's Market, because, as seen in the above photo, it is a popular meeting place for women. How wonderful that every single person in the photo is a woman and that nobody is alone. The women in the overflow/dining room are engrossed in a great conversation. The three women in the foreground, a generation younger are busy selling and making purchases. Nevertheless, they were not too busy to take a few minutes to talk to each other and enjoy each other's company.
This year's theme for International Women's Day is pay equity, which is said to be 200 years away, unless the trajectory changes. And, the International Women's Day organization hopes to keep this initiative on the front burner all year long. Here's to equity in the home, in schools, in the workplace, with friendships, at the farmer's market, EVERYWHERE; and in all domains. Happy International Day of Women. Please share your ideas for celebrating and recognizing women.
Well composed!

An interesting photo. Hope you had a wonderful International Women's Day! I tried to participate but was told to stop fooling around and go home and put on a dress. That didn't seem right, did it?
