Yesterday in Greensboro, the temperature rose to 50 degrees. After a mostly-rainy Sunday, the sunny Monday afternoon felt like spring was giving our community a visit. The above photo was taken just off Carlson Dairy Road on the Farm Course of Greensboro Country Club. Nine years ago, this course had a six million dollar renovation. British golf course architect, Donald Steel, redesigned the par-72 course. It is the longest course in Greensboro and is said to be one of the longest in the state.
Over the last few decades, country clubs have evolved to emphasize being family friendly and having something for everyone in the family-- tennis, golf, swimming, social events, great meals, and more. Even if you don't play golf, or belong to one of Greensboro's local country clubs, you can walk the perimeter and enjoy the views. Greensboro's many golf courses provide expansive views and are a great way to appreciate nature's great beauty. Look at that blue sky that provides a great backdrop to that lovely field. Before we know it, indeed, spring will be here.
Quite an expanse!
