Temple Emanuel, located at 1129 Jefferson Road, is hosting their Jewish Festival today from 11:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. The SHALOM Y'ALL sign along Jefferson lets everyone feel welcome attending. The above photo is of the temple through the "O" on the SHALOM sign. You don't need to be Jewish to enjoy the events and food featured today. Jewish and Israeli food, like pastrami on rye sandwiches, chicken noodle and matzo ball soup, bagels, kosher hot dogs, and fabulous desserts will be available. Additionally, there will be sanctuary tours, Bible characters walking around to meet and greet you. Artisans will be selling jewelry, pottery, and more. Continuous entertainment and educational activities are featured all day long.
Temple Emanuel is a Reform Jewish congregation. The congregation is very open, inviting and embraces diversity. As stated on their website, the services are joyous, informative, and filled with great music. Who knows, you may stop by for a sandwich, but leave having found a spiritual home. Greensboro is lucky to have a dynamic congregation like Temple Emanuel. Here is a photo of the temple with the above-mentioned SHALOM Y'ALL sign.
Great architecture in this synagogue.
