Last night, Liz McKinnon (left), Vida Pour Tea's resident artist, showed a series of her original watercolors inspired by the poetry of Michelle Rosquillo (right). The event was held at Vida Pour Tea, 412 State Street. The exhibit is entitled Transitions and Passages. The watercolors take on a fairytale-like character of vixens, echoes, people surrounded by swirls, and animals with people painted into their bodies. The poems are on display with the corresponding painting in the front room of the tea shop. You can have Sarah mix up a cup of tea while you walk around reading poems and admiring artwork.
While the opening night event is over, the will be up for several weeks. The artwork is available for purchase and you can ask Sarah when Liz and/or Michelle will be at the tea shop next, if you want to learn more about their great work.It is so wonderful seeing these young people of Greensboro living their dreams and being entrepreneurial with their creative genius. Happy Thursday!
Cheerful smiles! Some restaurants and cafes here do a similar sort of rotating thing with artists and photographers.

Love those vixens. They remind me of my pomeranians!
