If you have been downtown recently, perhaps you have noticed that the Greensboro Police Department has these new tricycles. They scoot along on the sidewalks. The above photo was taken on Washington Street at the corner of South Elm Street as the vehicle was westbound. We first noticed it as the vehicle and driver passed us eastbound. The photo below captures the reaction of most people who saw the officer and vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. The scene was definitely a head-turner, with everyone doing a double take. Wonder if the police officer was thinking, "Made ya look!".
The Greensboro police force has officers on foot, in cruisers, on horseback, on motorcycles, and now on tricycles. Regardless of mode of transportation, it is a tough job. If you are an officer, may you have an event-free weekend. Happy Friday!
"What on earth was that?"
I haven't seen anything like that here.

Great photo! But miscaptioned. These cool rides belong to Greensboro Parking Enforcement -- which is not part of the Greensboro Police Department.
We kinda like the look of these wheels, though!
