Weekends are a time for repose, sitting back and enjoying family, friends, and nature. Many people go to church, synagogue, or temple. Weekends give us time to pause and reflect on all we have to be thankful for. This summer in Greensboro has been especially rainy. When water is plentiful, plants usually thrive.
The above photo features a lily that grew out of a bed of weeds. Conditions were just right and it grew and bloomed out of the blue. While the cell phone photo of the lily is far from perfect, it gives you an idea of just how green and beautiful Greensboro has been this summer. Notice all of the shades from tender, crisp light greens to dark shades that approach black, and everything in between. If you are fortunate enough to be home today, take a walk around your yard or neighborhood and find something you consider beautiful. Take a picture with your phone and you will have it with you all week to bring you happiness. Happy Sunday, dear readers.
That is pretty!
