City Meet 2017 is well underway at the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC). All of Greensboro’s community swim teams converge on the center to see which swim club will take first place. Even more important is for children to have an opportunity to compete as individuals and as part of a team. The relays are great fun and can have quite an impact on those final scores.
The above photo was taken last year, but it gives you an idea of the impressive facility that we have for the meet. In earlier years, City Meet was held in Lindley Park. While being outdoors had its charm, it also came with its challenges, sunburns being one of them. If you get a chance, head to the GAC today and cheer on the children of Greensboro. The meet began on Thursday and concludes today.
Quite a pool!
