Merry Christmas, dear readers. Today's photo features the manger display at Christ Lutheran Church, at the corner of Lawndale and Pisgah Church Road. By day, it has the muted colors of fall. At night, with illumination, it takes on the vibrant glow of Christmas. We try to feature a nativity scene at least once a year. Christ Lutheran was organized in 1959 on 2.8 acres of land and started with 25 members. The church is involved with the community, hosting a variety of groups, like girl scouts. Here is a very different view of the church that we featured earlier on GDP.
In 2009, we shared this photo of the creche at Greensboro College. Greensboro College has displayed the manger scene for nearly eighty years. You will notice the snow on the ground that year. Merry Christmas!
A good nativity scene!
