St. Andrews Episcopal Church was glowing last night. The corner of Kensington and Market was beautiful and calm as the rain from Hurricane Andrew was subsiding. The earthy scent of hickory nuts filled the air; the wind had blown them out of the trees near the front entrance of the church. This view is the quiet on Saturday night before the bustling activity of Sunday morning.
In addition to church services, Holy Eucharist rites, Sunday school, fellowship, coffee hours, and special meetings, church members looking forward to their annual bazaar on Saturday, October 15th from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. The people of St. Andrews contribute so much to the Greensboro community and beyond. Consider stopping by the bazaar and purchasing and donating generously so that they can continue to do great good. We wish we'd been able to attend their Blessing of the Animals last Sunday. Four-legged pets, fish in bowls, and even a stuffed animal or two were blessed. We heard the service was lovely. Happy Sunday, everyone!
A pretty view!
