The above photo features construction at South Edgeworth and Spring Garden Streets. The property is being developed by the people who brought the Iron Hen Restaurant to Greensboro. Revolution Burger will be a grass-fed burger restaurant. Beside the burger restaurant, the Baker and the Bean Bakery and Coffee shop will open. These businesses, and the others at this property will employ 125 people.* This property, formerly a sleepy warehouse next to a custom sheet metal business, will transform this property at the Greenway.
Local small businesses, like carpenters and heating and plumbing businesses, have the contracts for this job. Using local companies helps keep Greensboro's economy strong. This major interior and exterior renovation is a perfect fit in this part of town and it sounds like the Fresh. Local. Good. Food Group has thought up several innovative and creative business concepts. We may have to budget more for eating out and, if we bike there on the Greenway, we can justify eating a little more!

That is a wonderful project and should be emulated in all of our cities. Not only will it utilize local people and resources, but will itself be a great resource for Greensboro!
