If you live in Greensboro, likely, you are noticing just how beautiful our city is in springtime. Greensboro is fortunate to have four distinct seasons and spring is absolutely glorious. These ornamental cherry tree blossoms will be past peek within a few days. However, as for today, just about anywhere you look, you can see something in bloom.
Thursdays are usually pretty quiet around Greensboro. However, since today is March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, there are plenty of events to attend, especially downtown (see examples here). Since we Greensboro doesn't have a river, we won't be seeing green water, like they do in Chicago. However, there will be plenty of green libations going around this evening. We hope you remember to wear green and greet your Irish friends! Maybe even take them a sprig of spring cheer. The above pink blossoms were photographed specially for you.
The blossoms are such a pretty sight this time of year- and a reminder of how far behind our spring is. We don't see them until May.
I'm wearing the only two green items I have today- a T-shirt and a scarf that has green in it.
