The above flasks were spotted at the tent vending area of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. They commemorate the battle. They are made of recycled wine and beer bottles, by a man whose family has been blowing glass for generations. From the lip on the vessel to the rough pontil mark in the front, they are made to look as authentic as possible.
Today is ABC Wednesday and for our A-Z Urban Finds Series, "J" is for "juice flask." The more we look at it, the more we wish we'd purchased one. The vendor lives in Virginia, so, hopefully, he'll be back next year. He had several interesting vessels, but this "juice flask" impressed us, because it is specifically dedicated to our community and a local battle.
Sometimes, at the most unexpected moments, one can find the most beautiful little treasures... I hope for you that you'll see him again and maybe purchase some more treasures
Have a nice ABC-Wedneday-day / – week
