Construction Inspections is a department of the City of Greensboro. Their office is located at 611 Homeland Avenue; or, as we heard one man say, Homeland Security Avenue. The department is housed in this building directly across the street from the Yanceyville Farmers' Market and War Memorial Stadium. Every time we go to the farmers' market, we look across the street and wonder what is housed in the building. Finally, we walked up to read the sign, and now we know.
Surrounded by mature trees and greenery, it is hard to believe that it is located so close to downtown. With all of the construction going on in Greensboro these days, we can imagine Construction Inspections has been a really busy place. It is probably one place that is less busy over the holidays.
It has the look of a very ordinary place, but well looked after.
