As Christians enter the Christmas season, the star shape takes on great symbolism. It represents the guidance of the Magi. In Christian tradition, the Magi saw a star in the sky, revealing the birth of Jesus and leading them to Bethlehem.
The above star was purchased at the November craft show at the Yanceyville Farmers' Market. A very nice young man, named John, had his stand set up at the market and these stars, at nearly 4' tall, grabbed your attention upon entering the show. The December craft market will be held today, from 11-4 and he said he would return with more to sell. In November, the stars flew off the shelf. They are available with colored bulbs and also white. They would look really nice with the colored balls in Sunset Hills.
If you celebrate Christmas and are in the holiday spirit, or you just like arts and crafts, you might want to head over to the craft show at the Yanceyville Curb Market today. The above decoration can be displayed indoors our out; however, somehow it looks rather calming on a mantle as the lone seasonal decoration. Now, if we can only find some white flocking to cover up the cord. Can you believe the first week of December is almost over? Happy Sunday! Happy December!
I do like this one. I can imagine they'd be popular.
