The above photo was taken, downstairs, at the Piedmont Triad International Airport. You can see from this sculpture in the middle that you are in GREENSBORO/HIGH POINT. We hope that weather you are staying in Greensboro, coming here to visit, or leaving town, that you are safe and happy. This will be a busy travel day, but by evening, most businesses will close and the air will have the peaceful sound of silence. Some people will be out attending midnight mass; some will be out trying to do last minute shopping; others will be home waiting for Santa.
With the temperatures in the 60's and 70's in Greensboro it's beginning to feel a lot like we are in the southern hemisphere where it is summer right now. If you are lucky enough to have carolers in your neighborhood, don't be surprised if they show up in shorts and tank tops. You may want to have some hot chocolate cooling, just in case. In the busy, over-decorated spirit of the holiday season, the stark, monochromatic look of the above photo is to sight what palate cleansing is to taste.
The calm before the storm here!
Merry Christmas.
