Yesterday afternoon, Greensboro got the gift of a double rainbow. Unfortunately, our camera didn't capture the intensity of the rainbow. From our vantage point, it was bright and arched over Holden Road. At least, however, we captured the spirit of the weather event. The rainbow delighted us to the east and the photo below shows the view to the west as we headed north on Battleground Avenue.
It is amazing how different the two views appear. We wonder what animals, like rabbits, with a nearly 360 degree range of vision must process on days like yesterday. It was in the 60's all yesterday and at least twice there were intense downpours in Greensboro. It is important for plants and trees to get big gulps of water in the fall, before the ground freezes, to prevent winter damage. At this rate, the trees will be well hydrated before winter arrives. Have a great Thursday.
Gorgeous skies!
