In thinking about First Friday this evening in Greensboro, we realized that we haven't posted a photo from the event for a while. The above photo features VIVID Interiors, a new business in the 500 block of South Elm Street. It was taken on June 5th, at the first, First Friday they were open. People were welcomed with refreshments and enthusiastic decorators ready to tell the public about their great ideas. On their website, they describe their vibe as "as eclectic mix of polished prepster with a little bit of funky quirk" a la Wes Anderson. One of their goals is to work hard to bring out glimpses of the client's innermost soul.
There have been many changes this past year in the 500 block of South Elm. VIVID is one of six spaces that have been recently remodeled and renovated in that area of town. If the weather is nice, consider heading to town and strolling along Elm Street. The city is really getting a facelift for the National Storytelling Festival next week. You won't be disappointed! Plus, it is Friday.
Thanks for making us your daily photo! We love keeping our doors open a little later for First Friday and seeing so many friends and meeting so many more new friends. Although we do put a good deal of sweat into our projects and store, would you mind changing the "polished perspire" to "polished prepster?" What's that old deodorant commercial, "Never let them see you sweat."?

@Gina Hicks. Done! Auto-correct has not been our friend as of late. We've gone in and made the correction and yes, you all do work very hard.
Best of luck and enjoying the fresh, VIVID vibe in the south 500 block!
