A few weeks ago, as we were flying back to Greensboro, this was the view from above the cloud line.. The scene was so calm and peaceful. Every once in a while, it is a good idea to recalibrate the eyes and mind by focusing on something tranquil and beautiful. Nothing beats nature for beauty and tranquility. Sunday is the day we post something of a more spiritual nature. When the sky is this beautiful, it takes on a spiritual quality.
We think we'll look at this relaxing view for a while and then head downtown to the Sunday gospel and traditional music stage of the National Folk Festival. Also featured will be Cherokee gospel, traditional ballads & sacred songs, old-time and bluegrass, and African American congregational hymn singing. This will all take place at the North Carolina Traditions Stage, presented by the North Carolina Arts Council starting at 12:00 noon. Now that will be a lot of not-to-be-missed spiritual music, picking and singing.
Wow! What a sight!
