With all of the events and activities, downtown Greensboro can be so much fun. There is almost always something completely unanticipated happening, too. Last weekend, we stumbled on this photo shoot on the railroad tracks at the old train depot on South Elm Street. The photographer was working hard and the models seemed to be cooperating. Fortunately, no trains interrupted the shoot! We’d love to see the finished product which probably has the Bennett water tower in it. The red brick building in the background is one that has been neglected and the community is trying to save. If the building is restored, it will help maintain that bygone-era look that movie directors and photographers alike find appealing about Elm Street.
Don’t forget that tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. While it is not First Friday, many of Greensboro’s businesses have something your special someone would appreciate. But remember, nothing says “I love you” like spending time with your special someone. Take them on an adventure, exploring pleased with their photos!
That red brick building is well worth preserving. I like the look of it.
