The Word of Hope Fellowship is located at 3512 East Wendover Avenue, Suite G. This address is a relatively new mini-strip mall located across from GTCC's East Wendover campus. The beliefs of Word of Hope are Bible-based and Christian; however, form their website, they do not appear to affiliate with any specific denomination. Pastor Dallas Scales and Lady Angela, his wife ("for life" as he says), provide the spiritual leadership for this religious community.
This photo was taken on Saturday night, when all was quiet and locked up and the whole parking lot was vacant. However, today at 10:00 am, the lot will fill, Pastor Scales will preach and his congretation will come, to hear him deliver a sermon meant to bring his church community closer to their mission, which is "to develop, train and equip individuals toward a whole-hearted commitment to Christ, community and family."* Pastor Scales has been a spiritual catalyst since 1988. We're pretty sure his current congregation will outgrow this facility and have a giant stand-alone church!
