The first full moon of 2015 was bright and beautiful. In Greensboro, the above Full Wolf Moon (also known as the Old Moon) lit up the earth on January 5th. It was so bright that you didn't need a flashlight to walk out to get the morning newspaper.
Since yesterday's craft brew post was so popular with readers, we'll add that Natty Greene's Pub & Brewing company has a brew called Full Moon IPA.
There is a bit of a dilemma in the craft brew world. With so many new brews, it can be very difficult to find names that haven't already been taken. Natty's tries to find names with a local connection: Guilford Golden Ale, Elm Street English IPA. Maybe they can hold a contest to solicit names with a local connection: State Street Stout, Wendover Winter Ale, Brown Town Brown Ale, The I-40 Imperial Pilsner. Something for the over 21 to ponder by the light of the moon.... the next full one is February 3rd.
A beautiful moon!
There's a local brewery here called Hogs Back, which takes its name from a waterfall here in the city.
