This past weekend, the Coliseum was a vibrant, lively place. The Guilford County Schools held their magnet fair where parents could learn more about the district's many schools of choice. The National Figure Skating Finals were there and, related to the figure skating , an exhibit with history, costumes and interactive stations, related to the sport, were set up. Finally, there was an exhibit of skating artwork from the community. All four events were well worth attending.
In the above photo, you can see one of the entrance hallways. The blue bags were give-aways from the magnet fair. The child on the stairwell had balloon art from the ice skating exhibit halls. We will post more about these events throughout the week. We'll have more photos from Saturday, stop back often. It is such a point of pride to see how smoothly everything ran.
All the comments I have seen about the Figure Skating are praising the facility and the smooth running of it. Makes me proud of our city.
