Greensboro has experienced single digit temperatures this week. According to the national weather service, yesterday, it was 6 degrees, tying the record low from 1970.* To the surprise of many, the local public schools started at their regularly scheduled time. Hopefully, everyone was OK; of course, the well-being of the children is the top priority. Deciding whether or not to delay or call off school is no easy task!
How do you photograph coldness when there is no snow on the ground and no icicles in sight? We decided to show this old house in rural, northwest Guilford County. It looks like it is a drafty, uninsulated, no-frills homestead. However, these old homes can be extremely cozy, filled with people sitting around the wood-burning stove, telling tales of extreme weather. What will you be doing to stay warm this weekend?
Good post - I can feel the drafts!

It certainly does feel cold in that shot. And for your area, that is cold. For us, it would be mild right now.
