Holiday eating at home is great, but as leftovers wane, a good alternative is dining out. Above is a dish featured at Taste of Thai at 1500 Mill Street on Westover Terrace. It tasted as good as it looks! Westover Terrace has a diverse array of food offerings, from Indian at Saffron to Egyptian at Cleopatra's, to American at Lucky 32. Lunch specials are a always the more affordable option and a good introduction to a new cuisine. If you want Thai food, locally, we have Taste of Thai, Rearn Thai on West Market, and Bangkok Cafe on South Holden.
Thai cuisine is known for its combination of sweet-sour-salty-spicy flavorings. Peanuts, chilies, lemongrass, fish sauce, and coconut milk are common ingredients. Those ingredients are readily available at most large supermarkets in Greensboro and Super G Market on West Market Street has them all. If you are making resolutions for the new year, consider resolving to dine around at Greensboro's different ethnic restaurants in 2015. Food is always a good way to start learning about a culture. And Greensboro is a city of many cultures.
You forgot my favorite "Osteria" on Westover Terrace. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

Sounds like you've got enough alternatives there for Thai cuisine.
