While the fall display of color has long passed peak in Greensboro, it is still possible to find a good view. The above photo in northwest Guilford County shows a maple tree still sporting its fall colors because it is protected from the wind by mature trees, two of which are hosts to English ivy. Of course the fabulous Carolina blue sky as a backdrop adds to the visual appeal. Sometimes, the secret to finding beauty is looking up, literally and figuratively. That bright spot is there... somewhere. This would be a great spot for a hammock and a good book.
If you are looking for a good book to read, consider reading some Greensboro authors. This Saturday, Nov. 15th from 7:00- 9:00 pm, the Writers' Group of the Triad will hold their last open mic event at the Starbucks in Quaker Village. It would be fun to go hear what published and aspiring writers in our community have to say! If you attend, while you are there, look up, look down, look around. Who knows what you'll see!
Fabulous pic!
