Today's view is of Downtown Greensboro, contrasts sharply with the colorful, fall scene in yesterday's post. The above photo was taken near Market Street on the Davie Street side of the Elm Street buildings. It shows a brick building painted white that provides a stark backdrop for the tree in the foreground. This tree has already lost all of its leaves., serving as a strong reminder that winter is on the way. Fall seems to have come and is departing in a jiffy.
Selfishly, we dread winter because the many gray days and extra hours of darkness make it very challenging to take great photos. Then again, Greensboro is fortunate to have four distinct seasons; each with its own color palate, special weather events, and great activities planned by and for its residents. Regardless of season or weather, may we all find a way to enjoy each and every day.
Personally, I love the winter, but I'm silly that way.
A stark shot!
