Google maps Street View was out and about in Greensboro yesterday. We caught up with them at the corner of Aycock and Spring Garden Streets and followed them out I-40 eastbound towards Raleigh. If you've ever wondered how your street, house and yard got uploaded to google maps, look at the camera mounted on the top of the above car and you will see.
We're wondering if they were filming us as we were filming them. To be sure, Google had the better camera. From the looks of that lens, they have 360 degrees of capability; whereas, we only have a 180 degree range. The bottom line suggestion is to keep your yard in good order and your garage door down as you never know who is driving by to share your street-view with the world. See you online! Happy Saturday, dear readers!
Follow that car! That's pretty cool.
Did you see the one in the desert where their camera had to be mounted on top of a camel?!

Definitely you were at the right place at the right time. Will you be on the "street view" map? I love it when there is some creativity on the maps.

I've seen those in the streets here from time to time.
