Greensboro Daily Photo joined the City Daily Photo (CDP) community on January 2, 2009. The first of every month, they have a theme and July's theme is Celebrating Summer. While we featured Greensboro's Summer Solstice event in June, we decided to share another photo today. In the above photo, we see Paper Hand's parade of flowers marching through the arboretum. Nothing says celebrating summer more than an intergenerational group strolling through acres of specially planted trees and flowers.
If you are local, even though the parade is over, the arboretum remains a fabulous place to go to celebrate summer. If you are from elsewhere, how are you celebrating summer? If you are in the southern hemisphere, how are you celebrating winter? This summer is turning out to be glorious in Greensboro and throughout the state. See more below.
What a lovely event! So different from the one on VDP! So pretty and summery!
