While we have featured Our Lady of Grace (OLG) Catholic Church several times before on Greensboro Daily Photo, what we have not shown is their cornerstone. And my what a fine cornerstone it is. Religious symbols, a name, and a date, 1950 all adorn the rock that provides so much information at a glance. If you have a spiritual home, does it have a cornerstone? If it does not, consider a fundraising effort to provide one. It is so easy to forget when, how, and why something came about.
If you want to learn more about OLG, go right HERE to their parrish history. And if you are local, you owe it to yourself to tour the sanctuary and learn about the history of the stained glass windows. They are glorious. See an inside shot, here. Imagine having nothing and going someone where you are welcome, to sit and be prayerful for a while. Churches, synagogues, temples, and other spiritual places have been providing respite for a very long time. Where do you go, what do you do for a moment of spiritual renewal? And, if that special place has a cornerstone, send us a photo!
The flowers can only add to this image
Hard stone; soft flowers... go together perfectly.

I never knew this was there. I'll have to stop by some time to see it. Thanks for making me aware of it.
