Are you ever sad, lonely, don't know where to turn? Well, of course, if the condition is serious, you should seek professional help. However, if you are just a little down or want to get something off your chest, you can visit the box of blues perched in a tree in the 600 block of South Elm Street. It is located across the street from Mellow Mushroom and just south of Artmongerz and Elsewhere. Someone in Greensboro has constructed this little box that reads, "Have you had or do you have the blues? Tell your story, concern, condition, or conflict. Write on the paper inside (leave your contact) and put the envelope in the mail slot behind you- 612 S. Elm Street to become eligible to collaborate on you song with a musician for the healing blues album."
Just think, your predicament could go viral if your healing song is sung. It is worth a try. Some people leave their written ponderings in the little box. Most of the messages sitting in the box have pretty universal themes (love, unlove, interpersonal relationship). Fortunately, they don't seem to be too disturbing. Way to go Greensboro for this creative chance to vent in 4/4 time.
It's a neat idea!
I have had the need for professional help in the past- you're right, when it's serious, professional assistance is a must.
