It is Winterfest Time in Downtown Greensboro. This year, it is bigger and better than ever. Please make sure you stop by and either try it our or at least watch. People have so much fun. In the north, frozen ponds are a way of life. In Greensboro, we need to cheat a little bit and help mother nature freeze the water. The venue is set up in Festival Park and open from 10 am to 10 pm. Weekends are much busier than weekdays. The cost is $10 which includes 2-hour skate and saucer sled rentals. It is another way you can build memories with family and friends in downtown Greensboro.
Winterfest will be here until February 1st; however, something about skating in December is magical. this Friday, if you stop by to see the Festival of Lights in Center City Park, you can walk across the street to see or be a skater. The building to the left in the back is the Central Library. To the right, in the background. is the parking deck behind the Cultural Arts Center. ArtQuest, library program, snacks, Children's Museum, galleries, and skating will make an unforgettable day for you. This photo or this one could be in YOUR family album.
