'Tis the season for music and celebrating. Yesterday was no exception when Marcia Payne Wooten performed a handbell concert for the Beta Delta Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for Key Women Educators. The organization held its December brunch at Sedgefield Country Club. The handbell performance was a festive way for the women to begin their event. Mrs. Wooten, a member of the Beta Delta Chapter, teaches Spanish and language teaching methodology at The University of North Carolina Greensboro.
When Mrs. Wooten is not teaching future world language teachers, she can be found performing and teaching handbells for Union Grove United Methodist Church in Northern Iredell County. They have a very active music program and Mrs. Wooten is a dedicated handbell ringer and teacher for her church community. We share her ringing in the season for our Sacred Sunday post. Happy Sunday, dear readers! And thank you, Mrs. Wooten, for your heavenly music!
A lovely concert, Marcia. It set the perfect tone for out Christmas brunch and auction.

Always liked the sound of musical bells. The black gloves add a certain panache, don't you think?

The black gloves add a lovely touch. Watching this concert helped me realize the intricacy of bell music. A perfect tone, indeed, Jane.
