If you read the News & Record yesterday, you know that Small Business Saturday was a big hit, especially in downtown Greensboro. Elm Street was hopping. The above photo shows people crossing the street at the iconic Hamburger Square, at the corner of South Elm and McGee Streets. As seen in the above photo it was a lovely day to walk the 99 blocks that constitute downtown Greensboro. Natty Greene's, seein in the background, was seating people inside and out. It is a great vantage point for people watching and refueling.
If you missed the activities downtown this past weekend, you'll get another chance as this Friday, December 6th, is First Friday. The December First Friday is always amazing because it is the Festival of Lights and Center City will have festivities from 5:45-9:00pm. During the event, much of Elm Street will be blocked off for pedestrians only. Put on your good walking shoes and don't forget to wear your wildest holiday regalia. Come on out and make some memories with your friends and family. In the meantime, it is only Monday. We'll all need to pace ourselves for another week.
