The streetlights on Northline Drive and Green Valley, at the eastern edge of Friendly Center, look festive adorned with wreaths and punctuating the early evening sky. Sometimes beauty is found in the most unexpected places. You look up and, lo and behold, a photo-worthy scene is begging to be captured in pixels. Evenings as pretty as this one make the overabundance of darkness more tolerable. If you live in the northern hemisphere and are in the throes of December darkness, head outside and search for some evening beauty.
There are nine more shopping days until Christmas. In Greensboro, there are so many options. In addition to a Christmas, we suggest a list for diversifying where you go to be part of the retail scene. Don't spend your time in dollars all in one place. There is the above Friendly Center, the downtown area, the Four Seasons area, farmers' markets, and lots of indie businesses. You don't even need to make purchases; however, it is a lot of fun to get out and people watch. If you make it to Friendly to see the above scene, you might as well head over to Sunset Hills and catch the neighborhood light balls (here).
