With the Zombie Run, Greensboro's Hamburger Square at South Elm Street was a ghoulish playground last Saturday. The 2013 run was the second year for the event which was initiated by "Downtown Greensboro". Their organizing of the run was aligned with their mission of helping the urban area of Greensboro to prosper and offer memorable events for residents. However, all were invited to attend. And fun was had by all, from children to seniors who participated. It is always nice to see those multi-generational events. What a great way to run two miles and not even realize you are running. Wonder who had more fun, the zombies or the runners! Wonder how many people actually escaped capture. Don't let the looks deceive you. This motley crew was on its best behavior all day long. If you adore this kind of spookiness, you can participate in tonight's "Nightmares Around Elm Street" and take a haunted tour of the Gate City.
Fun event! I love the roller derby girls complete with ref!
