This little bungalow on Spring Street is still displaying its fall colors. Those leaves just want to hold on a little longer. The backyard to this property is the baseball stadium. The front yard is a stone’s throw from Westerwood. One has to wonder how longer these homes can hold on when multi-level structures are going up all around. For now, we can enjoy this little slice of what downtown Greensboro used to look like. Does anyone remember what this neighborhood on Spring Street is called? Regardless, that tree to the right anchors the property and makes it look like it belongs here. Just down the street, they are building a rest stop for the greenway and this part of town is betting a little more pedestrian and cyclist friendly.
If you get a chance, head downtown this weekend and look around for yourself. There is so much to see.... and do.
These old Arts and Crafts bungalows seem to be in every town across the nation. Amazing, isn't it, how popular the design was. If this house is lucky, it still has its built-ins gracing the living room and dining rooms
