Greensboro celebrated Veterans Day by displaying flags of all sizes. At UNCG's Elliot University Center, tiny flags, the "honor field" adorned the front lawn; while, a giant flag was displayed at the entrance. Above, coeds chat, just after UNCG's events for veterans came to a close and the rows of tiny flags were removed from the lawn. With the current generation of college-age students having many people serving in the military, college campuses are making every effort to make sure that veterans feel welcome- that includes everything from adding classes a little late to helping with complicated financial forms. Universities are great places for people from all walks of life to come together and celebrate our differences and to nurture our desire to grow intelectually. UNCG is no exception. Here's to a great last few weeks of the semester for students everywhere.
