Last weekend seemed to be decorating-for-Halloween-Day in Greensboro. From Glenwood to Summerfield, people seemed to be out stretching cob webbing and placing giant spiders in just the right spot on the porch spindles. The Westerwood neighborhood was no exception. Not only were residents decorating, entire families were out carving pumpkins. Here we see a house on Woodlawn Avenue. The children looked like they came home from soccer games just in time to join in the carving festivities.
On Monday, October 28th there will be a pumpkin carving contest in Greensboro, at Smith Senior Center from 12:30- 3:00 (2401 Fairview Street). Is your neighborhood having a pumpkin carving event? If not, you should consider planning one! The local grocery stores have GREAT prices on pumpkins and the churches have lawns full of pumpkins and gourds in all colors, sizes, and price ranges. Message us and we'll try to stop by to feature your pumpkin art. Whatever you do this weekend, enjoy every minute to the fullest, dear readers!
