Today is Friday and the weekend is fast approaching. Saturday and Sunday is the
Artstock Tour, a glorious way to get out and walk and also interact with Greensboro artists on Saturday as well as Sunday. Jim Gallucci's studio on Industrial Avenue, between Elm Eugene and old U.S. Highway 421, will be open to the public. The Creative Center, on 16th Street will feature at least 18 artists, in one place. The above photo was taken in the parking lot of Cheesecakes by Alex on Elm Street. Although not on the Artstock tour, it is a great place to map out weekend plans while enjoying a piece of pumpkin spice cheesecake with an expansive view of East Greensboro.
This weekend is homecoming weekend for Grimsley High School. Grimsley sudents will be busy with homecoming festivities; others will be driving by the carloads to Spookywoods, mustering up the courage to tour "America's biggest and best haunted scream park" right here in Greensboro's back yard. For those leaving town, we hope you consider driving into the mountains to enjoy the fall display of colors. Go here for North Carolina's weekly fall color report.
