The above photo is a view of the Keep It Local event this last weekend. The arts and crafts spectacular, organized by local potter, Leanne Pizio, just keeps getting better and better every year. This past Saturday, booths lined the driveway. The weather was just perfect, the artwork was superb, and it was a fun way to spend the afternoon. Leanne thought of everything, right down to an art hunt to secure food for local food banks to having a port-a-potty (especially important to the young and old). The above photo is representative of what a fall event looks like not only on Stealing Crow Farm, but also in Greensboro this time of year.
There is so much happening locally in the fall, and it is hard to get around to everything. This past weekend we had a marathon. If you missed the marathon this past weekend, you can still sign up (here) for the zombie run on November 9th in downtown Greensboro. Also, if you missed Leanne's event, you can find a lot of the vendors represented in the shops and galleries on South Elm Street. Also, Leanne will have another Keep It Local event in the spring. A
bove all, find SOMETHING you like and use it as an excuse to get out and enjoy our community.... or your own if you are not living around here. Here's to three more glorious days of October.
