State Street Florist is a happy looking place on the Elm Street end of State Street (208 State Street). The echinacea flowers are at peak and hinting that fall is just around the corner. You can tell that this business loves flowers as they haven't cut back the flowers to make the phone number visible. From the vantage point in the photo above, the phone number is something-something-something- 0202. The store claims to offer elegant and stylish flowers at great prices. They're open six days a week, and just about every holiday, except Christmas and New Year.
For people who use them regularly, one's florist can be as important as a hairdresser or an interior decorator. This one looks like one that can meet a wide range of needs. We really miss the garden shop at the other end of the Street. We also miss The Saltbox. State Street has the feel of a street at the beach, right down to the fact that it is easy to bike on. Perhaps we'll see you over there thiw weekend.
They just need to raise the sign a bit! Great catch.
