The above billboard, located at North Battleground, near Taco Bell, Wal-Mart, a gas station, and The Burger Spot, got cameras installed last week. We wonder what inspired surveillance cameras to be installed. Actually, cameras are everywhere. Consider all of the incidents, nationwide, where surveillance camera footage helped solve a crime. While cameras may be everywhere, in most cases, they aren't so highly visible. Perhaps that is on purpose. Try to be aware of your surroundings and see how many times you are caught on tape in a given day! In the meantime, smile, you're on candid camera!
I have not seen them on such long pole placements before. We have cameras all over So Cal, I just figure we are all visible for a good part of any day outside our own front door.
I am pretty ok with that, no worse (maybe better) than going to the local grocery store and seeing a half a dozen people from your lifetime while you look like crap and they are on the way yo some schmancy function for which they have only stopped to purchase flowers or wine.

If you look very closely you will notice these cameras are actually facing the billboard. They are installed by the sign company and used to remotely monitor what is being displayed on the billboard to both ensure it is functioning properly and has not been hacked or tampered with.
