Now that is a statement and probably a good enough story without the O. Henry ending.


I adore O. Henry's writings, and Once paid him Obeisance in Pete's Tavern, a bar in NYC where he allegedly wrote "The Gift of the Magi." The bar was a disappointment, but this post sure isn't! A neighborhood named O. Henry Oaks is a great tribute, as is this post - absolutely perfect for O week!

That's One of the more intriguing "yard Ornaments" I've ever seen! Were I a teacher at William Sydney Porter Elementary in Greensboro, I'd have my students write an Original short story about it, O. Henry style, and see what their imaginations came up with. :-)

It clearly has meaning to the homeowner, but I'm in the dark. Definitely something that would help you find the house.


Gotta say that's the most Original lawn Ornament I have ever Observed.
