Greensboro's Summer Solstice Event will be in full swing today from 2-10pm and Lindley Park. Vendors will start setting up at noon and the selling and shows officially get underway at 2pm. The whole day will be filled with everything from jewelry and crafts to food and homeopathic remedies; massage tables, musical instruments, you name it. The above photo shows the colors and textures that will be all around. If you bring out your inner playfulness and dress up a little, you will have a lot of fun. The event is family friendly. Well behaved dogs that love tolerant of wearing costumes are popular too. Fire dancing, the final event of the evening, begins just after dark. Bring a blanket, snack, and a potitive attitude and stop by.
Here is a link if you want to know more about the performers.
This looks like fun. We probably had something similar going on. But I'm too pooped to go check it out. Missed a neighborhood music festival and a fun party at a vintage clothing store today because I'm running on fumes. Next time...
