The pile of rubbish in yesterday's photo consisted of paint rollers that were used to create the artwork at Morehead Park, under Edgeworth and Freeman Mill Road at Spring Garden Street. It is hard to capture the beauty and creativity of this project in one photo. Imagine riding your bike, approaching old fencing, and out-of-control kudzu vines and spotting this oasis of creativity. It will bring a smile to your face, the first time you see it.
Who would ever think that hanging out under a highway, beside a railroad track could be so beautiful? Don't forget that the opening celebration is tomorrow from 2-5pm. As for today, put on a little green white and red, call a friend, and head out to enjoy some Cinco de Mayo events in the area.
I like it.
