Greensboro was aglow last night with families out celebrating First Friday and the Festival of Lights. Thousands of people came out to listen to music, shop, skate, perform, and spend time with family and friends. Here we see children enjoying the fake snow piped through Center City Park while parents and grandparents scrambled to take pictures of their little ones.
Today will be another day packed with family fun in Greensboro. If you get up early enough, you can land a good spot along the parade route (Greene to Market to Church Streets). The Girl Scouts will set up Candlefest in the Arboretum and many businesses will have open houses today. Let us know how you spent the day. Regardless of what you do, save some time for family and friends.
Festival of Lights--at first I thought you meant Chanuka. :)
Looks like fun.
Fake snow? It looks great in motion in your photo.

Today before 1pm, we started getting REAL snow. With the Jaycee's Holiday Parade, Christmas shoppers, Hannukah celebraters, and everyone else downtown, Greensboro is festive today!

Looks like the people of Greensboro do know how to have a good time. A big cold, though?

I love the idea of the 'snow'. What a great way to kick off the holiday season. The snow looks real.

We had our first snow too here in Raleigh. The kids went outside to catch snowflakes to taste them. I hope the little ice pieces did not carry nasty stuff :)
