Fishbones is a restaurant, literally, on the corner of Walker & Elam. This is a beautifully wonky entrance that Tim Burton would love. Below the fishbones sign, the reflection almost looks like bats flying. And the blue in the sky looks like wings. According to Yahoo-local, Fishbones offers a "funky cuisine in a neoclassical atmosphere...... boast(ing) a large variety of international and regional selections on their menu." Hopefully Mr. & Mrs. GDP will eat there soon so we can snap a picture of the inside and provide our own review of the place. We know for sure however, that it is located on a very fun little corner of town and that its neighbor, The Blind Tiger, has been providing Greensboro with great music since 1988.
This is our contribution to James' Weekend Reflection.
Such a cool shot & very Tim Burtonesque!

Wonderful shot. I wonder if the inside is as funky as the outside.

I'm with Beth - funky is the best adjective. I like that you have captured reflections from many angles - it gives the image dimension.

Ha, convenient for bloggers always to have that excuse for going to and into nice places. Enjoy for investigation inside Fishbones. :)

I went to Fishbones after searching the city for interesting cuisine at a reasonable price. I finally found this place on my way home. I walked in and immediately loved the atmosphere. It is a modern style artistic pub. I went and had a seat at a bar. The service was a little slow but the bar was full and I fully understood. I ordered a sweet tea and the shrimp and grits. It came to the table 5 mins later blazing hot. Within the first bite I knew that I would be returning. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the grits were cheesy and delicious. I asked to see the menu again and I looked for what I will be ordering next time. The thing that caught my eye was the chicken fired pork loin sandwich with the burgundy-veal demi-glaze. The sides are fantastic as well. Blacked Green Beans, Black beans, cheddar grits, and more. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is fun. All in all I would give it a 9/10
