For readers 21 and over, a block away from the Newbridge Park Stadium is ZETO Wine and Cheese Shop. Here we see a peek through the front window. In addition to being a full-service wine and cheese shop, the store was the first in North Carolina to have a Vino-matic wine tasting machines. Like a library or credit card, you can sample 1/2 ounce of one wine and, with the swipe of a card, move on to sample an ounce of another kind-- with all bottles turned upside down and cooled to the optimum temperature for the given wine. A friend of ours pointed out the fact that the business is owned by two women. Since one of the proprietors is Greek, the name of the shop is a Greek toast, Zeto-- "Live, long live!"
Never seen anything like that around here.

What a cool shop! I'd patronize that in a minute.

What an idea! But somehow, being served wine from a machine seems to defeat the whole purpose of wine.
In any case, zeto!

Hi and thanks for the photo and review of and comments about Zeto. Just a little about the wine tasting machines--the bottles stay upright, but they are temperature controlled (cellar temp for reds and just a bit cooler for whites). Also, the wine is exposed to oxygen only one time (when we put it into the machine), so it's a fresh pour every time.
You can have a 1 oz. taste, a half glass (2.5 oz.) or a glass (5 oz.) of any of the 24 wines anytime we're open by using your VinoMatic card (available at Zeto). It's great for just sitting and sipping or for trying a wine before you buy. The place is great for having a party (talk with us about how that can happen).
We were the first in the northern part of NC to install the tasting machines and the second in NC. When we did this, only about 100 installations of these machines were in the USA. It's a fun venue for those who enjoy exploring different wines and those who just want to have a glass of wine.
We have added something else new to Zeto. Come by to see us soon at the shop. Follow us on twitter @zetowines, also on facebook. Again, thanks for the nice comments and the photo.
