By day, Lawndale Baptist Church, established in 1956, is a giant, imposing brick church on Lawndale Drive. With two recent building campaigns, the church has grown and grown. It is one of those churches with buildings from multiple decades; a full service church with activities literally every hour of the day. From sermons to basketball teams, Lawndale Baptist has activities for all age groups.
Lawndale Baptist looks hauntingly serene by night. Can you imagine driving home late at night and happening upon this view? As we drove by, we came to a screeching halt, pulling into the parking lot to take this photo. This is our contribution to Monochrome Weekend a place where nobody misses life beyond the grayscale. Thanks to all of you yesterday who posted positive comments about our canine friend Bijou and for those of you who responded privately about the dog walk the girl scouts are hosting.
Kind of scary, actually!

Saretta: I'll have to post a "by day" picture as the church looks very inviting when people are milling around, the sun is out and the trees are full of leaves!!
